Grandma keeps your numbers honest, so you don’t have to.

When you started your business, you obviously didn’t dream about staying up ‘till 2 AM to enter numbers or living on double-strength coffee so you can get your taxes done. Numbers were a necessary evil, a side effect of doing what you do best.

Well, in a way, Carol Miller actually did. She’s always been one of those numbers people. As a kid, she ran a lemonade stand, and would get flustered if the number of nickels didn’t match the number of missing cups. (That was her first encounter with embezzling – her siblings did it to make her mad).

At fifteen, Carol took over the bookkeeping department of a heating company, just weeks after starting on the front desk. In college, she tutored her classmates in math. And back before computers did everything, she worked at Sun Bank in Florida, in the proof department. She could manually balance 3,500 checks in one hour.

Carol’s passion for numbers went on, and 15 years ago she learned Quicken, the predecessor to Quickbooks, during a job doing accounts payable and receivables. In 2010 she became a Quickbooks Certified Pro Advisor, and has been keeping the books straight for small businesses and independent contractors since.

Carol is also a prodigious networker. She has been in BNI since 2012, and has been President, Vice President, secretary treasurer, visitor host, and membership committee member. She is a Gold Club member for sponsoring more than six new members and has given hundreds of quality referrals.

It’s good to know Carol. She knows numbers, and she knows people, and people trust her. So if you want those numbers off your back – and in good hands – set up a free half-hour consultation. Find out what it costs, and how much easier it will be to keep your eyes on what you do best.

A little more about Grandma

Carol is originally from Clearwater Beach, Florida. She also lived in North Carolina for six years, hence the accent.

In true “grandma” fashion, Carol loves to bake. Right now her favorite creation is a peach crisp with toffee topping. She is also proud of her pineapple upside-down cake and her mother’s cheesecake recipe.

Carol has two sons, Andrew and Anthony, and two grandchildren, Callie and James.

Carol also used to tend bar and teach ballroom dance.

Members of BNI know about Carol’s famous “death glare,” which she applies to both numbers out of order and people who don’t do what they said they would.
